Building a Legacy Event Across Multiple Years
Freedom Ball | Presented by Northcott Neighborhood House
In 2025, Riley Design Studio was brought in to support the visual communication and event experience for the Juneteenth Freedom Ball. The project included creating cohesive marketing materials, sponsor assets, event signage, presentation materials, and a professionally designed program booklet.

Following the success of the 2025 event, Riley Design Studio was invited back to support the 2026 Freedom Ball, expanding the scope to include legacy storytelling, historical features, tribute content, sponsor recognition systems, and a more robust event communications strategy.
A major focus of the 2026 Freedom Ball was honoring the legacy of community leader LaMarr Franklin. Rather than presenting a traditional obituary-style tribute, we worked to transform historical content into a visually engaging two-page editorial feature highlighting his impact on Juneteenth, workforce development, and community leadership.

What could have been a standard tribute became a piece the family and community could genuinely be proud of a reflection of how design can carry weight, not just polish.
